Our stay at the Intercontinental St. Paul Hotel in Minnesota.

September 23, 2019

Last weekend we celebrated my husband’s birthday in style, and were kindly hosted by the beautiful Intercontinental St. Paul Riverfront Hotel in the gorgeous city of St. Paul, Minnesota.  We stayed in one of their riverfront view suites, and it was nothing short of amazing!  It made for the perfect birthday gift to my hard working husband, and for a night we will not forget.

Upon walking into the lobby doors of the Intercontinental St.Paul Riverfront Hotel ,  you are immediately greeted by trendy and modern vibes, with touches of stylish, curated, and artistic interior design throughout. From their furniture pieces to their light fixtures and art hangings; I found my eyes wondering all around in pure delight.

Near the check-in desk, there was a small table of refreshments, which I thought was a very nice touch.  The staff greeted us very warmly and kindly, and were very helpful in sharing information about the many amenities the hotel had to offer, including their own on-site bar and restaurant that we were given vouchers to.

We had the pleasure of staying in one of their suites, which had the most stunning panoramic views of the St. Paul river, making it the real win and treat of our stay! The room was very spacious, offering a lounging area upon entrance with a secretary, couch (sleeper sofa pullout), TV, coffee table, and two club chairs.  My favorite feature was the sliding cubby door that closed the living area off to the bedroom space.  The bathroom was very spa like feeling, and stocked full of all your necessary traveling supplies, which made you feel right at home.

I found the hotel to be centrally located to the hub of the city, and where most of the life was at.  We were just minutes from restaurants, bars, & entertainment.  You could actually walk by foot to many places, drive, or catch an Uber or Lyft ride, as that is what we did.  The hotel is located on a quieter street of the city, which I found to be nice.  They also had an accommodating parking ramp with closing garage doors, so that you could safely come and go as you pleased.

I also noticed upon walking around the venue, that they had access to the cities upper sky-way, which was also an added plus!  Most especially, I could see it being very handy come winter time, with the colder months.  If you’d rather opt out of all those options, they do also offer valet parking.

Sunday morning we tried out their on-site restaurant for breakfast.  My favorite feature was their tablet menus, that you were able to scroll through and view the different dishes they had to offer.  Their food options were top notch, let me tell you.  This is not your typical hotel breakfast.  We were treated to an amazing breakfast roundup platter, that was to die for.  We had the best waitress, who was not only friendly and beyond kind, but also so personable and fun with us!

Overall, I would highly recommend a stay at the Intercontinental St. Paul Riverfront Hotel . If you find yourself in the area for some weekend fun, or are looking for an event venue, etc. this hotel should be a number one spot to check out or book a stay for.  Below I have included some fun entertainment spots nearby, as well as our favorite restaurants and bars!

Well hello neighbor! I’m across the river from you in River Falls! I’ve had the chance to stay at a few Twin Cities hotels but never this one. The hubby and I will have to check it out the next time we’re looking for a mini vacay!
