Tis’ The Time Of Year!

December 1, 2017

Happy December 1st, everyone!

Things have been a complete whirlwind over here, over the last month! I hardly can believe that we have arrived to Christmas time.  Holidays always seem to have a way of speeding up the days.

We kicked off our holiday festivities last night, attending our local community holiday light parade.  The kids and even myself, always look forward to it every year.  It just sets the tone for the weeks to come, and gives you all the warm Christmasy feel.  We even were so lucky to have warmer and decent weather this year.

The weeks ahead are jam packed for us.  Our calendar is filled to the brim with choir concerts, dance recitals, Christmas festivities, get togethers, and even a vacation!  I have been trying ever so hard, not to get ahead of myself with it all.  Taking one day at a time, and just slowing things down. It can be easy to get yourself all wrapped up in the hustle and bustle, that this time of year usually brings.

This morning in traditional style we kicked off the month, with the return of our elf on the shelf, Chloe.  She always seems to out-do herself… setting up a grand breakfast for all.  There were fancy donuts, hot cocoa, treats, and a few presents, also.  The boys were beyond excited to see she had finally arrived.  They were the cutest whispering to her, everything they have been waiting to tell her for the last 11 months!

The weekend ahead has lots more fun planned, and I can’t wait to be able to spend it with my family.  I hope you all have a lovely weekend, and find the time to slow down, and enjoy the season!

With Love,

I think trying to allow yourself to be present in the holiday season is really one of the only ways to combat the holiday stress. Just take everything as it comes!

We always take this time of year to fit in as much family time as possible. I work a lot, but this time of year my son knows that I am his.
